The school years are over, and graduation is just around the corner! So mark your calendar for June 18 at 7:00 PM, when Laugh with Bāliņš and Kugrēns will take place at Apollo Kino Akropole Rīga. This time, you’ll hear songs, see dance performances, and experience all the drama of high school as we screen the audience favorite High School Musical: Senior Year. 🎤✨

The graduates of East High are facing big life decisions, emotional goodbyes, and, of course, several musical performances where emotions are sung out louder than in a school auditorium on graduation night. Troy and Gabriella will try to figure out what the future means for their relationship, while the rest of their friends attempt to enjoy their final moments together before stepping into adult life. If you want to experience it all, grab your tickets now!

The comedy won’t stop when the movie starts — comedians Edgars Bāliņš and Rūdolfs Kugrēns will be in the audience, adding their own commentary, observations, and light-hearted irony throughout the screening. And they are true experts in teenage drama, awkward situations, and emotional stage performances. So if you’ve ever wondered what Latvian comedians would say about life at East High, this is your chance to find out.

About the movie:
As graduation approaches, the film’s main characters — Troy, Gabriella, and the other East High seniors — realize that it’s time to say goodbye. So they come up with a crazy idea: to stage a musical about their experiences at school, the lessons they’ve learned, love, and their worries about the future waiting for them after graduation. It’s an energetic, musical, and heartfelt story about friendship, growing up, and how the most important things in life are best expressed through song.

The film will be shown in English without subtitles, while the comedians will speak in Latvian.
